Reproduction of the bust of Antiochus III the Great (242 BC - 187 BC), Seleucid king, originally from the bust found in Italy and exhibited in the Louvre. The armor was added later in the 19th century to a neoclassical plaster copy owned by Thorvaldsen's Museum. Some recent studies suspect that it may not be Antiochus III, but rather some Roman general.
